The rules of using PriceMyRepair, in plain English.

What this service is

PriceMyRepair provides free, indicative estimates of car repair, MOT and servicing costs, based on published UK garage-network data and official vehicle/MOT records. We are an information and comparison-referral service. We are not a garage, we don’t carry out repairs, and we don’t take bookings or payments.

Estimates, not quotes

All prices shown are estimates. Actual prices depend on your vehicle’s condition, parts required and the garage you choose. Final quotes always come from garages. Predictions based on MOT history or manufacturer schedules (for example cambelt intervals) are indicative and are not a vehicle inspection or diagnosis. Always rely on a qualified mechanic’s assessment before commissioning work.

No liability for repairs

Any contract for repair work is between you and the garage. We are not a party to it and accept no liability for work carried out, prices charged, or the accuracy of third-party data (including DVSA/DVLA records). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

Acceptable use

You may look up vehicles you own or have a legitimate interest in. Automated scraping or bulk querying of the checker is not permitted.
